Tomie's a difficult person, even without taking her curse into account. She's ambiguously an older teenager but will happily flirt with men much older than her with the goal of getting into bed with them, and has a tendency to bully and degrade other women. Also Tomie will be weird about gender and sexuality outside the norms she's familiar with and I can't guarantee she'll ever get better. Please let me know if you're uncomfortable with these topics and don't want to deal with her.

Importantly, Tomie's curse is on. For those canon-unfamiliar, people have a tendency to become obsessed with Tomie, willing to cater to her every whim to get her attention... Until they snap and start trying to chop her into little pieces instead. Teammates are automatically and permanently immune, as is anyone who doesn't opt in, so leave a comment if you're interested in playing out a compulsion plot. We can work out the details.

I'd be fine w/bending the rules for this but it WILL eventually devolve into "I NEED to chop this girl into tiny little pieces." It's on you whether Qifrey would recognize that as being an alien urge or if he has any defenses in place for that kind of mental interference, though

it's one of those things that in-canon is treated as Inevitable no matter how much someone tries to resist it so. have fun with that. the only case where it doesn't happen is the one guy that the compulsion never triggered on in the first place because he missed his dead wife so much, but if you are compelled at all it's a slow spiral until Oops! Knife Time!

i will say that dazai's nullification powers can probably suppress the compulsion at the very least and with some effort sever it, since iirc he is on ammon w/qifrey

good to know! it's a little funny because Qifrey does have someone (not-a-husband but actually a husband) to focus on, but also a need to not be content which probably will allow for some shenanigans there. we shall see!

i mentioned this when plotting w/aave but i'll say that dazai has the ability to temporarily suppress the curse on other people at the very least, but removing it entirely from someone will probably take a bit more effort

My character is gender-weird and I have NO idea how it will play out, but I'm absolutely down to clown and find out. If I change my mind, I will definitely let you know in no uncertain terms. But for now, go with your heart and let's see what happens!

My character's on her team so I guess she's immune from the curse effects. However, while my character is not inclined to becoming obsessed in a romantic way, she's definitely prone to becoming obsessed in a violent way, and wanting to tear people to tiny pieces is, in fact, her default state. so if you ever DO feel the desire to play with homicidal yan energy in her direction, hit me up!

I AM tentatively opting in but it must be acknowledged that Cobra is the softest boy I've ever played and while he has some capacity for viciousness it is hard to picture playing him in the full swing of violent obsession compulsion without either 1. extreme distress, like a level of distress that will definitely bleed over into every aspect of his life and not just in threads with her, or 2. essentially just playing a different character. so while I am up for playing him hitting the choppy chop stage and murdering her Sometimes, it would be really helpful for me if it comes with like, a reset button that puts him back at the start of the escalation, so that once it escalates to the choppy chop point he's not like that permanently, cuz then I won't actually get to play the character I like. apped to get to play anymore. like maybe every time one of them dies he resets back to gently enamored suckup. is this viable

yeah i'm 100% down for this. tomie actually has her Tomie Mitosis turned off so she can't regenerate from everything, so i'm actually down for the Violent Urge getting cut off once he severely near-mortally wounds her instead of full on murdering her since the FAQ made it sound like death is a big deal. the full obsession can go away after if you want or it can get reset to stage 0, depending on your preference

AWESOME. yeah an easier reset like you described is also totally fine by me! rn I'm thinking it would be fun to slow-motion dunk him in and out of the yandere pit repeatedly and maybe get to slowly acclimate him to having murder urge periods over time, but I'll read Tomie sometime next week and get back to you if I have more thoughts or questions or caveats. I'll note also that Marius Will end up hearing about this since that's Cobra's pet violent compulsions boyfriend so he is also likely to end up involved in the rp plot somehow

Kennedy is a null, she essentially nerfs people's powers (normal and supernatural powers). So while she's nerfed because of the powercap I'm down for playing it however is more fun to play with. I love playing whatever and am generally open for chaos.

I'm canonblind but I'm intrigued! Tomie sounds fun and I'm open to anything! Soo Won's sense of gender is interesting. Soo Won recognizes as a man, however the youkai he shares a soul with, Miyako, is a woman so his sense of gender can blur the more he leans into her nature. He will also hide his identity sometimes and dress as a woman so Miyako can take control and enjoy being herself for awhile without being connected to him. Feel free to have Tomie be weird about it. Soo Won isn't bothered by it at all.

It's a shame they're teammates since the curse sounds fun, especially for someone like Soo Won who is clueless about love.

I am fine with all the uncomfortable topics with the acknowledgement that Mydei is likely to stonewall some of it or even not notice flirting. He's dude-leaning bi and is unfamiliar with the concept of that being a problem.
